Lot's of stuff can get tossed about on the mailing lists and it can get a bit confusing as to what is actually supposed to happen... especially if a person isn't the original author and doesn't have time to dig in and get intimite with the code. What seems to work best is if the original author(s) of the code can monitor the discussion and submit the necessary changes to David or me.
