That's exactly why the keymappings are broken out of the preferences.xml

You can have two keyfiles and switch between them by changing one line.

It also means that when someone adds a neat feature, I can see how it is
used in the default (unused) mapping file ... and decide whether to copy
it across into the file I am actually using.
