I took it with me on the first three trips, but it never made it out of my coat pocket -- imagine trying to take snapshots during driver's ed when you were 16, and you'll understand the problem. I might show up early for one of my walk-arounds and sneak in a few shots then, but I don't want to distract myself so that I miss something. Just for the record, I'm a student pilot with only 6.6 hours so far, so take everything I say with a large grain of salt. We have some very experienced C172 pilots on this list and it would be valuable to hear more from them.
