[review in http://www.flightxpress.de/]

OK, let's sort the items and add a few:

  - Old-fashioned overall appearance (4 screenshots delivered, including KSFO
+ C172 panel), not to be compared with state-of-the art simulators
  - Very few functions compared to other simulators [1]
  - Cockpits "from yesterday"
  - Bad flight characteristics (sometimes planes react too sensitive,
sometimes too sluggish), much worse than X-Plane
  - Weather + Scenery disappointing

+ Some good 3D effects (sunset...)
  + comparatively good frame rates
  + free (beer, speech)
  + cross platform
+ open (full source code!) and extensible
  + remotely controllable via telnet/http/...
+ support directly by the developers

Doesn't look too bad, even if the negative items were all true. And then:
FGFS has not even had a 1.0 release. It will get all the (useful) "functions"
of other simulators over time. OTOH it has already a lot of functions that no
other simulator has. Finally: There's no alternative on Linux and other
Unixes.

m. :-)
