Yes, as I have time.
Warning: I am a total newbie when it comes to both flight simulation and
open source projects.

I know systems, though it has been a few years since I have done heads-down
coding.
Not really sure that is a place where I want to go again either. Like I
said its been awhile.
The past couple of years I have been doing mainly system architecture.

I got back into thinking about a space flight simulator recently (life long
dream) and have started looking for information on the subject.

Ideally I would like to promote a community of like minded individuals to
work on a set of web based standards and tools that allow
one to construct spacecraft specifications and "star system" servers to run
them on.
The goal is by using a set of standards one could hyper-jump ones spacecraft
between star systems, much the way one
hyperlinks between web pages. The object model and general physics model is
managed by the server,
the detailed physics model, visuals, and control is managed by the client.

My musings for now,

Dave
