Just updated cvs with the values I've been using.  To some degree the
autopilot is very much in a state of flux.  It really has only worked for the
c172 and more or less for the c310.  That said,  it works pretty well for me
with the other aircraft on the current cvs.   It is touchy.  250 knots is good
with the 747, but you have to watch the speed like a hawk and make sure it
doesn't drop below 235 or so.  To climb you need the speed and the current
system doesn't hold the speed for you.  BTW I'm assuming that you know the
autopilot does not engage a horizontal hold when you hit the F11.

Generally that much flaps (setting 2 out of 3) at 250knots is probably not a
good idea.  It is possible that having flaps set to two at that speed would
nose down aoa enough that the elevator would become ineffective for climbing.
 The patch I just put in will decrease the application of elevator so if your
issue is there, the patch will only make it worse.
