My intention is for the damage model to have an effect on the FDM that
will be as realistic as possible. Initially it would address conditions
that could occur to all aircraft, hard landings, shear applied to the
landing gear, high g forces. These effects would somehow work their way
to the flight model and alter it's characteristics. I just realized that
engine failures and icing are also damage, in the sense that they alter
the flight model characteristics. I'm beginning to see some
relationships here that map over to OOAD, mainly abstractness and
inheritance, quit well. I'd like to do the combat stuff, but a well
designed system would first cover the general cases, then get more
specialized. Since this is closely related the the FDM, perhaps this
topic should probably move over to the
[EMAIL PROTECTED] list.
