Especially when one is at 50 feet at 200 kts with a -90 pitch angle, the ground emblazoning itself in your field of vision. The adrenaline rush is just not the same... :-P I went the other direction. I was taking instruction in college, got an hour and a half of solo time, then thought to myself: There's got to be a way to do this kind of thing for free. Hmmmmm.
