That will make things a lot easier for my "do-everything" script I use under CygWin. I thought I was going to have to add a check for the curret metakit, then build and install that within the script. I wasn't looking forward to that. FWIW, here is the --help message printed by my script. If this sounds appealing to anyone, let me know and I'll email it to you. I'd like to get a lot more testing done with it on another platform such as Linux. Usage: CreateFGFS <UPDATE|MAKE|BUILD> <PLIB|SIMGEAR|FGFS|FGB|ALL> <CLEAN> Options can be entered all lower or all upper case UPDATE causes the selected entities to be updated from their respective CVS repositories. All further dependencies will be resolved as well, i.e. UPDATE causes a BUILD and a MAKE to be performed. If this is an initial checkout (i.e. the cvs/root file does not exist for an entity) you will need to be present in order to enter the default password for the cvs repository at checkout BUILD causes the configure; aclocal; automake, etc. tools to be run. MAKE merely causes a make to be run on the selected entity[ies] MAKE does not need to be specified, as it is the default. PLIB causes plib, simgear, and fgfs to be operated on asspecified SIMGEAR causes simgear and fgfs to be operated on as specified FGFS causes flightgear to be operated on as specified FGB causes the flightgear base package to be retrieved CLEAN causes the directories to be cleaned of object files after make has been run. This is good to do if you have limited space, but you will need to rebuild the entity again in its entirity the next time you run make or build This script assumes that the code will be kept in directories under the user home directory, under an src directory FlightGear base files are kept under the user home directory under a "data" directory _______________________________________________ Flightgear-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/flightgear-devel
