Disclaimer: It's not my picture and not my kid :)
The airplane is a 737-200, I think. It's definitely Boeing, no glass, two engines. The airport markings look non-US, and judging by the high altitude and low visibility, heading about 050, parallel runways, I'd say this is Mexico City.
