These are among the dozens of things I would like to see added to the
FAQ, having just climbed the FlightGear user curve myself. I think it
would be less confusing for newcomers to have a short table in the FAQ
that told them which aircraft were well modeled and which were in
development, so they would know what they were getting into when they
tried some of the incomplete ones.

I also think the FAQ needs to include instructions for how to take off
in all of the more difficult planes (like the B-52 and P-51); new
users current have to wade through web searches for before finding
someone who has volunteered info on a mailing list on how to get the
things off the ground intact. It would also be nice to answer the
question "why does this large jet barely come up to speed, then veer
right off the runway and crash?", with the answer being that: you are
using a joystick setup that only controls engines 1 & 2 and not any of
your right engines.

Oh dear, I seem to have begun complaining about the web site on the
development mailing list. Should I just email Cameron Moore with
these suggestions?
