I think the FDM trees could be marked non-polling upon creation. I don't see a way to use these trees in aircraft without being bound to this particular FDM. If there are properties inside the FDM specific tree which are needed for FlightGear they need an alias to somewhere in the FlightGear tree (IMHO).
