Yes, that is a very good idea. In fact, the last model I started to write (B747) contained all the data the model was based on as well as source references. The DAVE-ML standard being forged by Langley (&etc.) engineers provides for a "provenance" XML field so sources can be traced. This kind of feature will probably evolve into the JSBSim config file format.
