Well, it isn't going to be swapping in textures that aren't displaying. I see something similar on my system (2.2 ghz)...a little faster though...with the same card. About 20fps looking at and 35fps when looking away from the panel. It is a tiny bit less than that with the c172p-3d panel...18-19 fps looking at the panel. I would suspect that overclocking the CPU may not help all that much if the real issue is bus speed. Sounds like it might be.
