Do you want my clouds patch ? For me, it doesn't behave worse than actual situation. I can come up with a patch in few hours.
Fred, because we are getting down to the *final* tweak stage with this release, I think I would feel a bit more comfortable leaving this until after the release is done. If there are performance implications on older hardware, or non-nvidia hardware, or any other issues, it would be nicer to find that out at the start of the next release cycle.
