... but if you have compiled fgfs with a libglut that had not been compiled
with exception support, then nobody catches, which results in an abort().
This looks like a segfault and creates a core file, but it doesn't really
pretend to be a segfault. With my crappy nVidia driver, though, the Xserver
freezes and I have to reboot. (The kernel is fine, but the keyboard/mouse/
screen is locked. :-)
