I wonder what sort of aerofoil is used on the rotor... I was surprised to read of Boeing's involvement with the X-3, X-10 & X-15 - both the X-10 & X-15 were North American Aviation and the X-3 was Douglas. Perhaps Boeing were referring to the launch ship (NB-52A), although I wasn't aware that the X-3 had done any air-launches.
