Boy, do I enjoy a vigorous debate, especially when I am right. Unfortunately, in this case, I appears that I did not consider all the needs of the animation system. Neither one should have to be designed to make up for something the other doesn't do. So I think the best thing to do, as we've hit on before, is to have the interface do the translation. That's where the discussion should probably head.
