Hi all,

The generation is on the go and I'll probably release _two_ versions of
the scenery this evening (UTC+2) - one with all the backstreets and one
without.

Nope, only one version - without all the small backstreets - most of the white lines to be seen on the "Status" page. However, Curt's tip helped me getting fgfs-construct to include at least the bigger main and backstreets, so that, e.g., NOVEMBER, ECHO and SIERRA can be identified now.

I tried to make a version with all the small backstreets - including the nice street-nets inside the cities and towns. fgfs-construct did succeed eventually (after setting the CPU limits _way_ higher than they were), but FlightGear crashed on loading the scenery - so did FlightGear Scenery Designer. Probably this is actually too much.

The uploaded scenery without the smaller backstreets runs quite smoothly in most parts. Frame rates on my box drop down to 15FPS in some places, but tend to rise again after a few seconds.

Regarding the tool for importing GRASS-data I have dumped that and instead created a patch for the TerraGear shape-decode tool which can be found on our downloads page (http://web44.netzwerteserver2.de/195.0.html) The patch enables shape-decode to handle point and line data.

Let us know what you think. We're open for (constructive) criticism and suggestions.

Have fun!

Ralf
