I'm out of ideas at this point. All the Nasal code I can run in isolation (which now includes several multi-threaded stress tests that work the garbage collector *far* more exhaustively than fgfs) works perfectly well on ppc/OS X and sparc/solaris. At this point, I'm starting to wonder if this isn't a memory corruption issue from somewhere else in the code that just happens to hit the Nasal interpreter state on Irix... Basically, I give up.
