Yes, I'm not sure what if anything it's good for, but it's definitely nifty. :-)

I'm suprised you can get that sort of 'resolution' in the GPS/IMU downlink.

The orientation probably comes out to within a degree or two, the GPS has a moderately low resolution (i.e. you can really see it step near the ground) but up in the air at flying speeds it does quite well and a few feet of positional error doesn't show up nearly as much.
