for my electrical scripts if modeled a nasal class, which is attached to
a enginge and produces power (by reading n1, going up with voltage to a
threshold and than supplying a constant voltage). i've used them to
model the generators which are attached to the enginges. so it would be
most simple way to model the apu as a engine. than it should be much
more simple to model the real fuel system (which is the next project to
be done :)) with all the pumps and cooling stuff etc.
i only asked because i saw this APU stuff in the property, but haven't
identified yet where it comes from and didn't knew if there is already a
apu system in development.

I would have thought that the AC power sources, engine,apu and external,
would all appear the same to the electrical system.AC power from the engine
and apu driven generators is not available till the power is of the correct quality
I.E 115/200v 400hz.So I would have thought that the only propery you would
need is engine running "true"
The thing to remember with the apu is that electrical power supply is only
half its function the other half being to supply bleed air to power such
thing as airconditioning and main engine start.
Also the apu engine on a lot of large commercial aircraft are modified versions
of turboprop engines from small commuter aircraft.
