You mean something like the Lightning (and Crusader) already have? :-) Actually, I haven't had the time to test it much but I suspect something has gone slightly wrong with the Lightning radar when showing up MP aircraft - it was definitely working correctly for AI planes but the MP feature was a bit of a rushed add-on. I still need to add many more possible "returns", because in MP there is of course no guarantee that the first three planes in the tree are going to be the closest ones and so the radar is fairly useless. There is also a simple 3d model bug where the returns are under some circumstances visible even through the rubber boot.
