Oh, it takes very long. More than an hour. That's why I'm not keen to
try it without AP. I prefer to let the AP do that on another desktop,
only occasionally watching the numbers.

BTW: the command line from KSNS wasn't necessary. I could start at
KSFO/28R, take off, set altitude-hold to 500,000 ft and some heading,
and then wait. It climbs slowly but steadily. Climb rate was 1012
(ft/min? ... read from the vspeed display), and IAS ~190 kts. (The
funny Mach number of 1.01 was apparently caused by thin air.)

But again, without /environment/params/control-fdm-atmosphere the
numbers looked much saner.
