Ok, here's what I know so far. Using the default flightgear launcher
under windows (v0.9.10).

In the Advanced -> General options section, I can select a config file,
but I have to manually enclose the file name in double quotes or FG will
squawk that it can't open "C:\Documents" (i.e. clips file name at first
space.) But manually putting the whole thing in double quotes works
around that problem.

Looking in the property browser, I have model[0] ... model[9] to
represent my 10 test objects, so the ufo-model-export.xml file is
getting found and loaded correctly.

However, I don't see any evidence that the system even tries to load the
models. With --log-level=info, I see a lot of messages about loading
all the scenery models, but no messages (warnings/errors) related to the
extra objects in the ufo-model-export.xml file.

I've also tried running this all straight from the command line to
eliminate any possible complications induced by a launcher, with the
same results that no models are actually displayed.

Thanks,

Curt.
