That's confirmed here (for the Hurricane) under Linux x86 (using Mathias' OSG
tarball)

With the Spit/Seafire I get

Notice: Material::getDiffuse(FRONT_AND_BACK) called on material
        with separate FRONT and BACK diffuse colors.

and a segfault;

and so on.

This too - produces the following segfault. I've not changed any OSG compile
flags yet so the bt maybe isn't as useful as it could be...

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

As of course has the Lightning - more to the point it doesn't look half as
good without the chrome shader... but I live in patient expectancy that we'll
have these and better shader effects back soon :-)

I've not had the time to test that one - sometimes it's pretty hard for me to
get the plane engaged in the cat anyway so it might be hard to tell what's to
blame... is there any way the "envelope" could be opened up a little bit on
that one in general? There are no deck markings to assist with hooking up
and it can be a bit frustratingly hit and miss at times when IRL there are
deck crew to assist.

Not had time to test that yet

I have to say that I don't find any significant performance reduction here,
even on my elderly geforce MX420.

I see this too; also transparency on some objects seems to be slightly
different - like the Hurricane's startup smoke, which doesn't seem very
transparent at all.

Obviously the switch to OSG was never going to be immediately successful, but
I hope that we can get back to the state we were in before soon, and start to
see some of the benefits that the change opens up the way for.

Cheers,
