Now, right here is the point: You want somebody to create or modify tools in a way that they fulfill _your_ needs and explain to you how to use these tools - don't forget that such modification consumes a noticeable amount of developer time. Your needs consist of creating a nice airport entourage - which I very much respect! - but that will turn useless, once the process of Scenery generation develops. Now, we're not sitting there twirling our thumbs. If I had to decide wether to spend my limited spare time for a short-term solution that's supposed to be useless after the next step of Scenery development or, as an alternative, to spend my time to contribute exactly to this next step, then I'd certainly head for the second choice - well, I already did so. Note that I don't really count as "FlightGear developer" as I spent my time on a side-project, but I guess "the real ones" are likely to make a similar decision, if they had to.
