Hi,

I've provided, with Melchior's assistance, some added facilities to
submodels amongst which are:

<speed-prop> which gives us the ability to set the initial velocity from
a property
<random> which varies the Cd by +- 5%

These new facilities give us the opportunity to add a bit more eye-candy to
FlightGear. I've done a better exhaust model for the Hunter 2 tanks:

ftp://abbeytheatre2.org.uk/fgfs/Screen-shots/hunter-exhaust.jpg

Of course - it's based on submodels, so it doesn't come free - about 10fps
here in external view, but only 2 in cockpit view. If you want to disable
it, go into the property browser and set /sim/ai/aircraft/exhaust to false,
or use the Hunter GA11 without tanks.

In addition submodels can now be attached to other AI Objects, but not other
submodels or Multiplayer objects.

Yes - this isn't the best way of doing it - particles would be better, and
would probable cost less frames, but I've only been waiting 3 years for
those, and this isn't a bad hack.

Enjoy

Vivian
