I'm a bit concerned here because our policy has always been to depend on the
most recent official release of plib. Plib releases actually get packaged
and included in many linux distributions (or have in the past) so having
older versions of plib hiding around on your system when you depend on cvs,
can cause all kinds of headaches.
Is there any way this patch can be reworked so it is functional with
plib-1.8.4?
That would make me feel a lot better about committing it.
Note that OSG svn dependency is a special case ... it's not something that
I'm happy about, but OSG seems to be making releases a lot more often than
plib.

I have updated the patch today and integrated the latest patch from
pigeon,
sent earlier ("(Maybe) patch to FG MP" from 06.06.2006).
The downside is, this version does not compile with plib-1.8.4 (still the
official release of plib!).
You have to use the current svn version of plib, which should be noted in
the
requirement list for flightgear.
Please commit the patch to cvs.
