I only wonder about => SGI textures (*.rgb) shall be "aggressively" 
since i remember getting trouble with that format....
Thought i have not tested it recently, i can  have "things" recorded  in mind, 
which are never updated.     :=)

Global settings , may open a question  => 
 i  use the "brake-parking" ON which is to me necessary with with some models, 
for instance:
-the S51-Dragonfly which start with blades folded and the Pilot standing 
outside, 
- the PBY6-Catalina, when on water it is on mooring

But, may be, that is not "global settings" only Aircraft settings
