OK. I think there are problems lurking when there isn't a valid scenery around 
the
plane, and this is more likely to happen with the new pager.

No, no, that's real :) Your frame rate won't be higher, but the pauses one saw 
when
changing view direction should be almost gone (will be gone when aircraft 
models are
loaded through the pager too) and loading and viewing newly loaded scenery 
should be
smoother too.

OpenSceneGraph has just released 2.3,
http://www.openscenegraph.org/projects/osg/wiki/Downloads/DeveloperReleases ,
which I recommend as it includes some DatabasePager improvements.
