..is the vertex shader important here?  The 7500 has no vertex shader, 
2 pixel shaders, 6 texture mapping units, 2 render output units, or
0:2:6:2, my 9250 has 1:4:4:4 and my 9800Pro 4:8:8:8 piping according to:

..I use them to guestimate my frame rates, IME (Radeon 9250 and 
9800, openChrome on Via, nv and nvidea on a FX5600 VIVO) I find 
they show _around_ ;o) 10 times the FlightGear frame rate.
