I meant only the temperature thing. The switch belongs to the
precipitation module, of course.  :-)

And just because temperature is under 0 degree doesn't mean
that rain comes as snow, does it? If METAR reports rain then
it's rain. Period. Modifying logic is only required and
*welcomed* for determining whether snowing means that the
terrain is snow covered, which can't usually be said from
a typical METAR message (unless there's runway data describing
snow height).
