Well, you should realize that FlightGear still is (fortunately) not
your private project. If this sort of 'gaming' setting is being forced
upon users and/or aircraft developers, then you should not feel
surprised if someone's going to work around it.
This is not about a "sane concept", this is simply a case of MF being
totally agnostic about other people's experience and preferences.

So, before using strong words, please consider opening your eyes,
