At the risk of diverting the thread, and not wanting to get into 
religious argument, but I'm genuinely curious as to why would you even 
want to do this?  Is there something that Lua (or any other language) 
can do that you can't do in Nasal?  

If there is, then it would probably be better to fix it in Nasal than it 
would be to embed a whole new scripting language.

As Ron has indicated already, while it would be possible, you are 
talking an immense undertaking to "replace" Nasal, and it seems that 
there really isn't any actual return on that investment (not that this 
is necessarily a bad thing, plenty of things are done just for the hell 
of it).
