well on my linux machine at SFO i see fgfs now use a whopping 1.5GB
plus it takes quite a while before it actually starts drawing the
terrain. at EHAM (with the scenery from svn) it grew to 3GB (i have
4GB of memory) before i killed it and it still didn't draw the ground.
