I apologise for committing the modified changes without asking - I felt my 
modifications were fairly straightforward, and hence unlikely to be a problem. 
The actual core logic should be exactly as you provided in the patch.

Understood, I'll fix these later on today. I'm still not-exactly-trhilled about 
hard-coding the B1900 numbers, but I don't have a better suggestion either!
