The menu 'local weather tiles' has an option called 'debug output', if
that is ticked, a log is written to the console.

So in order to understand why you get one, I would need the sequence of
buttons you press in order to get the error, in addition to the log
output. The gui is at this point not hardened against meaningless user
input, it sort of assumes you have read the documentation. So I want to
know if you create an error by using the system in a way it's not meant to
be used (i.e. if I need to harden the gui) or if you have a bug.

I doubt you get the error when you change the number before you press a
button for instance. If the number is parsed also depends on what wind
model you have selected. Thus, I need this kind of info to understand what
is happening.
