Yes, I'll do that. I added a MD5 checker to my script - interesting to see how many copies we already have. Considering the size of many sound files, this is also an issue which blows up our repository. Yes, I know it's handy to have all aircraft files separate. But when so many aircraft use identical sound files, then these seem to be rather generic - might be good to have more of them in a central location. The winner is "gunfire_1.wav" (39 times in fgdata), followed by "rain_canopy.wav" (27 times).
