Either parse to an SGVec4, or move it to rendering utilities. Either is fine 
with me - and if we find out we decided wrong, it's not a big deal to fix 
somehow.

The naming of the subdirs in SimGearScene is not great - we certainly do need 
an equivalent of 'misc' for things that need OSG, but the scene/utils dir is 
fine for now.
