But that's just because it makes you sick and you don't like it,
as you told us already. But if you look at the code, you see that
damping is done by three "exponentially weighted moving average filters"
that involve only 6 multiplications and 3 additions =altogether= (i.e.
2 multiplications and one addition per damped value). And these
are done by your FPU. This doesn't make your frame rate drop in the
real world, unless your system is totally screwed.
