... just like a real single-engine plane during the ground roll. Just for comparison, take your car to an empty parking lot some day, line it up with a point on the far side, then let go of the steering wheel, add a little gas, and see whether it keeps going directly towards that point. For the airplane, you have to add in the effect of the propeller, which creates a pull to the left both on the ground and in the air.
