Yeah, my old Sony has a relatively flexible case, but
its still lasted over three years :-)

Well, I'd like to run it under Linux, ideally. Having
said that, I've *never* managed to get OpenGL running
on Linux at all :-( I've tried on i830 integrated
graphics, an Nvidia RIVA TNT 2 with 32MB RAM, and my
current card which is another Nvidia but with 128MB
RAM. Somewhere, there needs to be something thats easy
enough for (obviously stupid) me to follow and make it
work. Damnit, I can re-configure and compile kernels,
I can use FIPS to change drive size, I have got X to
work on *all* those systems. Why is OpenGL such a
nightmare? So anyway, the only OS I've had it running
on is Win9x.

The only thing I'll probably end up doing is trying to
do enhanced scenery for the Isle of Wight. Although I
would like to have a bash at doing some kind of
ATC/Radar screen thing, probably under SVGAlib -
bearing in mind I can't get OpenGL working, and never
coded for it. I've played around with a few simple
things in SVGAlib :-)

Yup, the Sony got upgraded to 30 (although people I
talked to at Sony said it couldn't be done), and I was
thinking of 40GB for the next one.

Not really. I went to Dell's website last night, but
they do look a tad pricey compared to the Toshibas.

TTFN,
