Since you had to put all the axis in the .fgfsrc file, it's likely fg
don't match your joystick with the sidewinder-precision-pro.xml.

Check your Input/Joysticks/Microsoft/sidewinder-precision-pro.xml and
verify that you have Microsoft twice like this:

You see from the js_demot the MS name pops up twice.

Yep it seems you dare.

This looks fine, so you shold not have to specifiy anything to use the
extra installed scenery, but you should make sure you start at an
airport that really is within the new part of the scenery.
like fgfs --airport-id=KCIU

But this was perhaps a bit to obvious an error ?
