All I do is just rename the .img file .iso and it burns to CD with Easy CD Creator (you can right click and burn to CD) or with Nero from within the program. NTI CD Maker, I believe, will recognize the .img extension.

The .img extension is for an "image" file - raw data of a hard drive, CD, floppy, etc. It is odd that most Windows CD burning software does not recognize it. Go here:

http://www.undisker.com/disk-images.html

for a decent explanation of the difference between .iso and .img and some info on disk images.

Hope this clears it up.

i know what flightgear is, and i have try it, it's good.
i am a M$ windows user.
if the file type is ".iso", i know how to use it.
but i'm confused by ".img", it's size more than fit on a floppy.

FlightGear-0.9.3.img ? who can tell me?
