This is a real behaviour. Some have argued that it is too severe, some argue that it is modeled accurately. It is not due to gyroscopic precession, which you would see when you input and execute a control manuever. The effect is due to P-Factor and propeller drag torque. Not modeled currently are propwash/slipstream effects, which would make yaw more pronounced.
