I don't have FlightGear-0.9.3 installed at present to check this out though. I don't think that the WARNING - INVALID type messages are a problem - looking at the archive I think that people have seen them without the program crashing. They shouldn't occur in the latest release - if anyone sees them in the 0.9.4 pre-release candidates please shout. The next problem, unable to open the directory, sounds more serious. The only thing I can think of is that AFAIK, W2K doesn't allow writing to c:\program files from non-administrator accounts. It's concievable that if you're running as a normal user, and if the ATC code somehow doesn't set the read-only flags properly during file access, then this *might* be causing the problem. It's a bit of a long shot though. The other possibility is that the error messages are nothing to do with the hang. My experience has been that using the stock video drivers from the CD can crash FG on W2K on both ATI and NVidia hardware, and that this can be fixed by downloading the latest drivers. I would suggest that you try this if you haven't already, and if that doesn't work, try running as administrator if you haven't been and see if that works. FlightGear-0.9.4 prerelease windows binaries should show up soon. It would be useful if you could test these and report if the problem persists.
