No, a CHT gauge is very rare for a four-cylinder plane with a fixed-pitch prop like the Warrior, Archer, or 172 -- even EGT gauges are not all that common.


State of the art is a JPI EDM 700 or 800. Lots of people are installing these in their planes, though I won't be able to afford one for the next couple of years, at least, after I put in my Stormscope or Strikefinder this month:
