I really like the idea of xml for all the odds and sods, such as circuit direction, VFR reporting point names, preferred calm wind rwys etc, but I'm not entirely convinced that the node and arc information should be in xml. There could (can already for KSFO) be literally hundreds, if not low thousands, of nodes, and I personally think a binary format might be more appropriate for that, since they will be loaded on the fly as they come in range, and any pausing would be undesirable. What do you think? I haven't managed to get the fgsd taxiway editor working yet, but I'll bug you about that on the fgsd list. At the moment the button with the green dot doesn't seem to do anything as far as changing mode goes, and I can't seem to load KSFO.xml. Have you got a couple of brief paragraphs on how to use it anywhere? Note to everyone else who might be really confused by now - Bernie's taxiway editor is a set of modifications to fgsd to allow it to be used to edit logical node and arc taxiway layouts for the AI aircraft to follow, but which are not rendered. My TaxiDraw edits the physical layout of taxiways prior to airport creation by the scenery tools and is soley concerned with the rendered output, not actual use.
