That is something I have thought about serveral times.
I'm sure others have thought about it too.
It seems as if everyone is a little busy with other things and personally I'm 
a little hesitant since it requires playing directly with FG code and OpenGL.
I like to leave such stuff to the "gurus" unless it's my own app.

It's worth debating now though.
Flight Unlimited III style splash screen?
How about a picture of an airport where you can click on the hanger to load a 
aircraft selection, on the FBO building to file a flight plan, on the clouds 
to set the weather, etc?

Ideas, ideas ... toss 'em around a bit.

P.S. I just noticed this is on the users list - maybe it should be heading for 
the devel list sometime soon.  :)
